RUN AWAY !I came for the first time, I waited at the counter for a while and absolutely no one came despite the noise I was making.I came back later and ordered. The young girl (short hair) who handled my order seemed to be depressed + she just put my order on the counter without saying a word while I was literally sitting right in front. She posed in secret and went to hide behind it again (to continue her nap?).Tip: if you don't want to work, no problem, just stay at home :)(03/09/2024, morning)
The problem is that the alley is successful in Times Square, I've had to wait 1 hour to buy water twice because it's not cooked. Haishh, the workers here are really lazy, right?
We have tried The Alley in both Hong Kong and Singapore, so we're super excited to give this outlet a try as we enjoyed their Brown Sugar Milk very much.We arrived at 11am and were told the boba would not be ready until 'maybe' 1230 'perhaps' 1pm.The attitude of the server was so disappointing, and although we did not try their drinks, we will not be returning.
Sunday 1.20pm, mall busy hours there were only one employee working. Taking orders, processing payment, making the drinks… naturally super slow service. Not sure if this is the usual modus operandi. Definitely disappointed with the long wait but waited because I had a craving to satisfy. Two more customers who couldn’t wait left.
I would like to complain about the lousy customer service in Time Square Branch. And so far this is the worst experience that I've encountered with the Alley. At 1005am, 25th Aug(today), I walked into Time Square outlet to make a purchase of a cup of milktea. When I was making order, the female staff informed me that others are not ready yet, there were only 2 types of drinks that I can choose. Fine, then I just picked one of them and proceed for payment, then she said the system is not ready, asked me just to stand there to wait. Alright, when the system was finally "ready" for operation, instead of quickly proceed my order, she slowly arranged her notes and expected customer to wait for her spending her own sweet time. During that period, I actually intended to cancel the purchase but then she already dragged my time and I was in a hurry, so I didn't have enough time to go to another shop. Finally she was willing to proceed my order, and I managed to make payment. After the payment done, again she told me that the machine was not ready yet, I have to wait again for the machine to be ready. Seriously, if your shop is not ready to serve customer at that moment, why do you want to open it and let customer to walk in at the first place? And if you know that it will take longer time to serve your customer as the system or machine are not ready, shouldn't you inform your customer upfront and at least can manage your customer's expectation? I was in a hurry and if she has told me upfront, I no need to spend such long time to wait there and I could have bought my drinks in another shop. Furthermore, the worst part is during the whole process, her attitude was extremely rude, not even a smile, a greeting, or saying thank you from her. And the whole time she just showed black face.Seriously if this is the quality of customer service provided The Alley, I would definitely not come back again.
The small step on entry to seated area sent me helter skelter. Please replace with a ramp before someone breaks a toe. I have attached a pic of the dangerous step and an example of safe practice in other shops here in Time Square. The dish that arrived was sticky grunge and burnt on base. I couldn't eat it. Comfy chairs and nice music though - a good place to escape the hustle and bustle - albeit with a throbbing toe.

Seriously. I don't know why they turn off their aircorn all the time. Aircorn doesn't function? (But at least tell me the problem since I'm sitting in the stall, right?)Before MCO, I used to get No 9 milk tea here, the staff are nice, and friendly. The place is very happening. But now, the staff always show me a sad face (like I owe them a lot of money)Should I feed back to their CEO?
It is ok to sell the milk tea at a more expensive price tag than the competitors. However, I wish the milk tea quality could be maintained in a consistent manner.
I fell in love with royal no. 9 milk tea when i first bought it a few years back from setapak outlet. After that, i bought the same drink several times at the same place but it doesnt taste as good as the first time. Usually i request extra sugar cause I love it more that way. But i stop buying for a while because they dont improve their SOP. Last week i bought one from the alley times square and it tasted as good as the first time if not better. Their tea is concentrated. Today i bought one from setapak hoping they improved but it tasted wrong. The tea is too diltute, even the colour is light (as attached). Maybe they want to save resources? I dont know. Mind you i’ve worked at a bubble tea place before so i know how the tea were made. And the end result depends on the tea making-process. Requested more sugar but its doesnt have any taste. Thus im writing this hoping they will see this and enhance their recipe because this isnt the first, second or the third time. Dont make your tea too dilute please.Thank you.
Came here for the first-time. I ordered the signature drink which is Brown sugar deerioca creme brule milk. The sugar level and ice level can't be adjusted. This is to ensure the ultimate flavour of this drink is not twisted. The staff was very polite and informed us the best way to enjoy the drinks. Drink is nice, tasty. Boba is slightly hard. The place is with nice ambient. Unfortunately their toilet is closed. And if you want to use the toilet, you need to go to next door. Kind of awkward lah.
Probably the best pearl milk drink i have tasted so far. I recommend the signature deerioca brown sugar milk drink. Although i think the drink is kinda pricy for its small portion or when compared to competitors like "chatime" or "tealive". But i think "the Alley" has a more refined taste and should warrant a visit at least once for those bubble tea connoisseurs out there. Be warned though, the place is pretty packed most of the time and it took me almost 20 minutes waiting time for my drink. A testament to how good the drink is but bad for us because of the long wait. However, if u have the time, money and patience, it is worth it.
The latte is smooth and bubble balls are one of the best can find in Malaysia. The fragrance of the latte is not so strong, more for you to enjoy the bubble biting instead of tea. Very chewy and delicious.
A friend brought me here. Was thinking of going to PV128 but side track to the place. The drink is pleasant. I felt the price is on the higher side....considering the competition out in the market. Though, the ingredients they used, felt to be of better quality to those conventional bubble milk tea house.I would come back again to chill at the place. Hope you enjoy.
