A decent Japanese restaurant. There's a bit more shari, but it's better than I expected^^ They keep refilling the iced green tea and green tea. The self-ordering system is convenient.

Located beside HSBC. Quite easy to miss if you are not looking for it.Friendly service by the team. The foods are delicious and fresh. Service was quite fast and prompt. The price is reasonable for the quality. Would highly recommended this restaurant.

Lunch is good value for money and they provide weekend as well.We ordered lunch nigiri (30RM only) and lunch kaisen barachirashi (30RM only) with some alacalt sushi. we are full but only 180RM. you have expensive choise, like kiwami nigiri (180RM) but I feel more like reasonable if you order alacalt style. the taste is good considering this price. We visited on monday lunch time but the table are almost full.

We really like this traditional Japanese restaurant especially the freshly prepared sushi and smoked duck salad. The grilled mackerel was superb too! Really nice!

Amazing sushi made by skilled Japanese chef, with decades of experience. No complaints on any of their menu items, they are consistently delicious and fresh. With frequent patronage from Japanese expats, it shows the quality and service that you can expect here.Only downside is limited seats, hence it’s better to make a reservation beforehand.

Very good Japanese food. Sushi is very well made. The rice is Japanese rice, nicely flavoured. Sashimi is fresh and pieces are cut in just the right thickness. Best to call and make reservations ahead, walk-ins are turned away. Dining time is 1.5hrs but the chef and team are so efficient, we were done and ready to go in an hour. Price point is a little higher than the usual shopping mall Japanese fare but well worth the money and you walk out satisfied.

Everything was fine until we spotted a baby cockroach on our table at the bar right by the preparation area!!! We're curious where it came from. When we told the staff, all they did was remove it..? Please take this seriously because where there's one, there's usually more.

Came for a late lunch at 4pm. Understandably the chef is no longer at his most alert. But burning the fish is unforgivable. The picture is that of the salmon miso soup. The salmon was grilled. Or rather burnt. We also ordered the grilled salmon belly. The latter was even more of a carcinogenic disaster. I immediately remonstrated “Why did you burn the fish?” to the non-local waitress and she gratifyingly took it away before it even landed on the table. No pictures consequently. The sashimi was decent. I shall have to think more than once before I patronize the grill options of this place.

Good quality ingredients, yet poor sashimi and rolls construction, too much rice...more expensive than others

Overall the fish is superbly fresh. The only downside to my meal was the sushi rice. It was not as ‘starchy’ as what Japanese rice should be. Other than that, I would have given a full 5 stars for this place. The price is slightly at the higher end but it is worth it due to the freshness of the fish.

Another place I frequent and often forget to give a review. If I'm being honest throughout my 4 years of dining Sushiya has had it's ups and downs in quality. However when it's up it's really really up there in terms of quality and taste among the few omakase I have tried. The sashimi is huge, fresh and a delight to savour. Not to mention the chawanmushi's and other authentic Japanese dishes that often come with the lunch menu which has significantly increased value for those who are tighter on a budget and are willing to splurge for a special occasion (rm60+ with tax for lunch set and tea). The taste of these dishes are as authentic as you can get. Give it a try!Ps. They have a new Sushiya lunch set featuring cheese topped Salmon with fish eggs. Worth a try!

Very authentic and fresh Japanese food experience. Service was cheerful and attentive (they provide boxes to store your bags, just like how they do it in Japan). Prices on some sushi are a bit on the high side but based on he salmon and ikura donburi I had, portion of the salmon roe and salmon given were very very generous. I left utterly satisfied, cravings sated. The shop is a little tucked away, on the old wing behind Ma Maison and Kenny Rogers. Definitely must come for sushi and sashimi lovers!

My new fave sushi bar and the Omakase is a must! The fish and Hokkaido Uni are so fresh and quality is top notched. Kudos to Kazusan the Japanese chef for preparing an awesome Omakase spread. For the price of RM150 for 5 amazing sushis it’s certainly worth every bite.
