Before food ordering, waiter told us certain food need longer time to cook. So, we decide to order other dishes. End up, after 1 hour, the food that need longer time to cook serve first. Waiter told us left only one cook in the kitchen. That's why take longer time. Really poor service.

Hakka noodles flavour on point - texture a little soft but will give an allowance since this was takeaway.Abacus flavour was incredible, a lot tastier than it looks and they really made the aromatics sing. Texture slightly too soft and could be springier but once again giving an allowance since this was takeaway.Chili sauce was great with the above.Lui cha was a real letdown - the ingredients individually were fantastic and I like that they took the trouble to pack the ikan bilis separately so they remained crisp. But the soup was just not good. Not fresh, a little dull and bland.

My go-to place for Hakka dishes. Much the same over the years. High quality food at matching price

I have never tried this restaurant before in Gardens though I always pass by and it has been there for a long long time. I’ve eaten at Ying Ker Lou at Pavilion last time. The menu isn’t extensive but the prices are steep. When the food arrived we find the portion is small for the price they charged. Taste wise is ok but didn’t impressed me though.

Having lunch here this Sunday. Review is in real time. Service is really good. I spilled some tea, the lady came over to wipe and she apologised for the mess. ( teapot too heavy I believe...I spilled the tea btw not her)The atmosphere is quiet. I like that.We waited quite a bit for the first dish to arrive didn't time. We were hungry so perhaps every minute felt longer.Sweet and sour pork was terrible. Chewy bits. Tough cuts of pork I believe. The smelly pork dish was okay. The star of the meal was the vegetable.
